Adama Yalomba - Waati Sera

“Waati Sera” is the fourth solo release of Kemacina, Mali native, Adama Yalomba, debuting his first release on MesaBluemoon Recordings. Yalomba was hailed as the next great Malian superstar after his impressive contribution to the 2003 Festival in the Desert album. The gifted multi-instrumentalist who has collaborated with both Ali Farka Toure and Afel Bocoum and accompanied Oumou Sangare and Tinariwen.

Yalomba is an excellent percussionist and string instrumentalist (Kamele N’goni, n’dan and guitar) and he has played with Balazan of Segou, a talented group from the Segou region in Mali. He is also featured on Grammy Nominated artist Bassekou Kouyate’s new album “Ba Power”. This enlightened album is material sung in French, Bambara, English, Bwa, Fulbe and Lingala and skips with such alacrity between Afro-pop, jazz, blues, dance, rock and dub.
